Slab Table

A 300 year old slab of redwood burl is treated aggresively yet with a modern touch and great attention to irregularity in the structural support. A severe contrast to the redwood's natural beauty was sought with contemporary materials and design gestures.

Quaking Aspen Coat Tree

Currently at RJE Furniture, this coat tree utilizes a quazi-feminine, modern form with multiple steel rods ending in wooden balls.

Forest Coat Rack

This coat rack represents an abstracted forest scene and holds umbrellas, hats, coats.

Small Table Design

This table design marries the old with the new, a continueing theme in Bruce's work. The cabriole legs end flow up to a modern glass-topped design with rods and seemingly moveable parts. Parellell lines are also part of Bruce's aesthetic and are used here in an angular rhythm, piercing the table's skirt.

Table and Lightstand Design

Using various laminated and bent woods, Bruce has designed an ultra-modern set of occasional table and lightstand.

The light fixture is moveable and can create a direct light or an ambient one. The table is a continuation of parellels, seen thru the round glass top.

Coat Rack 1 Design

Maple limbs grow evenly from a sturdy maple base in this clever post-modern coat rack. The clean lines lean slightly outward due to being cleaved by horizontal pieces, criss-crossed near the fulcrum.

Vining Coat Rack

A departure from the parellel lines, yet an offshoot of his angular forms, this coatrack uses a stylistic approach to a utilitarian function in maple, cherry and steel.
